Take a Light

All the demons came out and walked around Friday night. They're all fellows I know; but, I don't like them anyway.

Sometimes the manuscript scares me. There's nothing for it but to make it all work. Make it wonderful.

Nevertheless, it can be an unsettling thing to be scared by the unfinished manuscript.

It's enough to make on take a flashlight to bed.

Of course, I cannot bring myself to turn it on and look around the room. I'm afraid of what it will show.

Better to just grind on. This one - the unfinished manuscript - it is one I can do something about.

Write something. Even just 100 words. Please, write something tonight. I could use the moral support.

It's scary, for sure. I'm struggling with my current one. Went out of town over the weekend with the family, but still managed to stutter out my word count...all awful, but it was done. The book is due Jan. 1. I'll fix it later and you'll fix yours. :)

Amazing how a few hundred words more can change one's perspective.

Thanks for the encouragement. Working backwards from the end to meet 2/3 of the way in .... Have not experience the "stuck" but my handholds ran out and I was dangling a little.

Good luck with yours. And thanks.
